FAMOUS RACING FAMlLY.—Members of the Ellis family, a famous name in racing, had their first reunion for many years at a school jubilee in Nightcaps, Southland, recently. From left are Arthur, Mrs G. Porter, A. E. (Bert), and Mrs R. Niven, all of Christchurch, E. J. (Ernie), of Washdyke, Mrs M. McKinley (Invercargill), L. J. (Jim), of Riccarton, Mrs R. Cannington (Christchurch) and Fred, of Timaru. Two other members of the family, George and Peter, died many years ago.
