PAPERBACKS WANTED

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, February 12. “Fanny Hills” publishers are to ask the Manchester police what they intend doing about more than 4500 copies of the novel seized from printers last November. Mr L. Fennelly, managing director of Mayflower Books, Ltd., publishers of the paperback edition seized, said he intended to ask his lawyers to ask for the return of the books.

“Lt is not our intention to flout the law by deliberately putting them on sale, but we may need them for export or for the home market if the novel is freed in due course,” he said.
