BODY FOUND IN RIVER
3-Hour Search For Infant (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. January 23. Skin-divers found the body of an 18-month-old girl in the Wairau river, about 150 yairds from her home, ait 8 p.m. yesterday.. She was Joanne May Vowles, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Graham Vowles, of Bothams Bend, Spring Creek. When the girl was missed members of the Search and Rescue Organisation . and residents searched for three hours.
