Poor Response To Appeal

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Jan. 13. Only two contributions have so far been received in Dunedin for the John F. Kennedy memorial fund and the Mayor (Mr T. K. S. Sidey) said today he was “most disappointed with the result so far.” The contributions were £2O and 10s. Mr Sidey said he would be happy to receive further donations. No organised appeal was planned. It was intended to rely on those Interested for donations, he said. Donations to the fund opened by the Auckland City Council shortly before Christmas have reached £505 2s.
