Rams Flown To S.I.
Twelve stud rams, purchased at the recent ram fairs in Masterton and Feildfng and also bought privately, were flown to Christchurch from the North Island yesterday. They were part of a consignment of 62 stud sheep flown in two aircraft to Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill The Romney Marsh ram which brought the world record price of 5600gns was included in the consignment. It was estimated by one person connected with the shipment that the total value of the cargo was about £30,000. The Canterbury consignment was valued at between £2OOO and £3OOO.
