Record Year For Sales (NX. Prws Awn.—CopvriuM) MELiBOURNE. January 18. The International Harvester Oompeny of Australia Proprietary, Ltd, bad its most successful sales year in its history with sales reaching in tbe year to October 31, 1968. Sales in 1962 amounted to £27X*IUI3.
Net profit, after income tax of £1406376 (prevtoudy £1342 W), amounted to £1,697,887 or 5.44 per cent of sales volume, compared with £1,482,881 previously. ShareboJders’ funds employed comprised £sm of issued share capital and £ll,4iMjoO4 of retained earnings. a total of almost £l6fim, so that the net profit was just over 10 per cent of funds emptoyed. Dividends paid during the year totalled £BOOXXMX just under one-half of the net profit, and represented 16 per cent of the issued capital or just under 5 per cent of Ihe funds employed.
