CARE OF AGED
Welfare Council’s
Appreciation
Appreciation of the help which many citizens and organisations in Christchurch have given to the Christchurch Aged People’s Welfare Council in its work of caring for elderly folk in the city is expressed by the council’s secretary (Mrs M. E. Lawrie) in a letter to the editor of “The Press.’’
"As the end of the year approaches I would like, on the council's behalf, to thank all who have helped in any way with this work,” she said.
•We are grateful for donations, legacies, gifts of goods, the kindly interest taken in our progress, and the many hours of voluntary service given by so many of our friends and those who serve on our sub-committees.
"We thank the press and radio for their kindly cooperation, and business firms for their continued interest, and extend the compliments of the season to everyone.”
