DEATH FROM INJURIES
Car Plunged Off Road
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI, Dec. 16. An elderly man died in the Wanganui Hospital early today as the result of injuries he suffered when his car plunged more than 100 ft off the Wanganui-Raetihi State highway, just south of Otoko Pa. yesterday morning. Ho was: Herbert Travis, aged 73, of Taumarunui, who had been admitted to the hospital with a broken pelvis and chest injuries. His wife. Mary Alice Tavis, aged 66. who was driving the vehicle at the time, was also admitted to hospital with minor injuries. Her condition today was satisfactory.
