BODY FOUND IN CAR
Harwell Man Identified

An engineer who disappeared from his job at the Hao-well Atomic Research Establishment has been found dead in Malta. He is Lieuten-ant-Commander John Buckley, a formal naval officer, whose body wee discovered in a car parked near an ancient temple five miles from Valletta.
A piece of tubing led from the exhaust into the car. Police said Mr Buckley was poisoned by exhaust fumes. Mr Buckley, aged 42, a married man with two sons, worked on a reactor at Harwell.
He left work in one of his two cars ait midnight on Wednesday, but did not return home.
On Thursday, he flew to Malta, where he had served in the Navy before retiring seven years ago.
A spokesman for the Atomic Energy Authority said last night that Mr Buckley's work was not secret.
