WOOL SALE PROFITS

Agreement On Retention (N.Z, Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 12. General agreement has been reached on a wool proceeds retention scheme for the 196364 season. After a meeting today between the Cabinet economic committee and farming representatives, the. Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) said that there had been a full discussion of the scheme, which would be sub-, mitted to the full Cabinet on Monday. It was expected that the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) would announce the scheme publicly early next week. Mr Marshall said the scheme was voluntary Government officials and toe parties concerned had met previously to work out particulars of the scheme. Another meeting at official level would be held to arrange further details. Organisations and groups represented at today’s meetings were: Federated Farmers, the Stock and Station Agents’ Association, the Wool Board, the Wool Board Electoral College, the Meat Board, the Wool Commission and the Associated Banks.
