LOCAL BODY OFFICERS
Salary Increases In Some Areas (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 10. Salary increases for local body officers in the Wellington, Taranaki, Marlborough, Nelson and Westland districts are provided for in an award issued by the Arbitration Court. The award does not cover full-time chief or sole executive officers, male officers in receipt of more than £l2OO a year (formerly £1148) or female officers in receipt of more than £BOO (formerly £766).
' Hie new maximum rates for males range from £B5O in the first year, to £lOl4 in the fourteenth year, representing i increases ranging from £l7 to £3O a year. For females I the rates range from £330 in the first year, to £705 in the ninth year, representing increases ranging from £l2 to £lB.
