Shipbuilding Boom In Canada
(N.Z .A .-Reuter) MONTREAL. The Canadian Government has announced an 110,000,000dollar shipbuilding programme for the Department of Transport. It will include an ice-breaker, four east coast ferries, two west coast weather ships, and 11 Coast Guard vessels. In addition, 12 survey and research ships will be built at a cost of 50,000,000 dollars for the Department of Mines and Technical Surveys.
