JAPANESE WIRE ROPE
Imports Wanted By Board The Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) is investigating the refusal of his department to grant a licence for the importing of wire ropes from Japan for the Lyttelton Harbour Board. The chairman (Mr A. A. Macfarlane) told the board yesterday that the Harbours Association had taken up the case with the Minister on behalf of the board.
