LEAVING HUNGARY
(NZ. Press Assn.—Copyright) MOSCOW, December 11.
The gradual repatriation of the families of Russian servicemen stationed in Hungary began a few weeks ago and is steadily continuing, according to diplomatic officials in Moscow, British United Press reported.
The move is interpreted in Moscow as possibly leading to th- withdrawal wi*hin the next few months of all but token Russian troops from Hungary. The Red Army has maintained a sizeable garrison in Hungary since the end of the war and reinforced it during the 1958 Hungari.-n revolt
Since then, the Government of Mr Janos Kadar has succeeded in stabilising the country, advancing the economy and introducing what Western observers now believe to be the most liberal of the East European Communist regimes.
