Australia must embark Immediately on a crash programme ef national development for a healthy economy in the 1970’5. a f'O-page American report on the Australian economy recommends.

The report criticises the lack of technicians in Australia and the “timidity” of Australian enterprise which it says, is likely to allow Australia’s rich resources to Bass into foreign control. The report, prepared by the Stanford Research Institute of California, was commissioned by the Australian Development Research Foundation of Sydney.
