'No Point In Summit’

(N Z. P .A .-Reuter— Copy right) KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 27. The Malaysian Prime Minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman) said today that he saw no point in a further summit meeting with President Soekarno of Indonesia and President Macapagal of the Philippines. Reports here quoted President Macapagal as saying in Washington that he believed a new summit —“the last was in August in Manila”—was needed to settle the Malaysia issue. The Tunku told reporters today: “What would be the use? What would be the point of another summit conference? “Indonesia is still screaming murder at us and their Foreign Minister says confrontation will continue.” For the Philippines, he said, they should accept the fact of Malaysia’s existence first.
