NEWS FOR KENYA

East Aids Agency (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) NAIROBI. Nov. 28. The Kenya Government has received Russian and Czech aid to se<t up its own news agency, the Informaion Minister. Mr Rinhard Oneko, told Parliament yesterday. Answering questions, he said the agency was being established to “meet the needs of an independent Kenya.” Russian and Czech equipment had arrived following a Kenya Government request for aid. Mr Oneko assured a backbencher that Kenya would not come to an arrangement with a single foreign country, but would exchange news with both East and West. He said Reuters, United Press International and Agence France Presse offers of help were still under consideration. Mr Oneko said the news agency plan did not necessarily mean the Government would control the circulation of news within Kenya.
