Increase In Betting
Betting on the New Zealand .Metropolitan Trotting Club’s inaugural night trotting meeting last evening, both on and offcourse. showed substantial increases over the the totals for the daytime meeting last year. On-course the totalizator handled £109.872, including £9802 on the double, compared with £87.343 last year, an increase of £224*29. The off-course turnover on last night’s meeting was £150.708, compared with £96.949. an increase of £53.759.
