TASMANIAN RADIO

Interference With 2ZA (N.Z. Preu Aun.—Copvrittit) HOBART, November 19. Tuning equipment is being installed about 20 miles from Hobart to overcane interference being caused to a New Zealand radio station cpereting on the same wavelength as Hobart's alternative Australian Broadcasting Commission station. Reception of Station 7ZR in New Zealand is at such strength that it is interfering with 2ZA, Palmerston North. To overcome the interference steps are being taken to reduce the signal strength of 7ZR in tile direction of New Zealand without impairing the signal strength radiated in Tasmania. Both 7ZR and 2ZA operate on 940 kilocycles.
