A dividend of £63 6s for £1 was returned by the CarJlican Bay - Safe Return doubles combination at Addington yesterday. They were adequately catered for in the gew- grandstand, which was lsed for the first time. Other unproved amenities drew JQbvourable comment. The track was very fast «sd the meeting was held in perfect weather. Totalisator investments oncourse amounted to £192.254. including £20.284 on the double. compared with £ 183.633 10s last year. Off - cou-se investments amounted to £180.714 15s. compared with £188.535 The biggest drop was shown in doubles investments, which amounted to £83.451 156. compared with £97.115 10s. Investments on-course on the New Zealand Cup were £34,142 10s. compared with 5£24Ji28 10s last year. Offcrurse the total on the cup was £35.930. compared with £36.176.
