Beautifying Assn. Elects Officers
The home gardens of Christchurch were a feature famous beyond New Zealand, and the title “the Garden City of New Zealand” was something to be proud of, the president of the Christchurch Beautifying Association said at the annual meeting of the association on Thursday evening, ait which the following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. R. Dailey; president. Mr E. W. Rodgers; vice-presidents. Messrs R. A. Proctor, A. J. Dewar, J. Wailing. G. G. Manhire; secretary, Miss B. A. Hart; treasurer. Mr P. Kellow; committee, Messrs J. R. Martin, O. R. Chillingworth, L. O. S. Jones, F. H. Broadhurst. S. Gower, E. A. TurJand, G. Tar, Mesdames B. Scott, E. Royfee, W. R. Dailey, B. Mac Master; social committee, Mesdames W. R. Dailey, R. Proctor, E. Royfee, E. Rodgers, B. Scott, B. MacMaeter, P. Kellow; solicitor, Mr S. R. Dacre; auditor, Mr A- C. Felton.
