Car Damaged By Thieves

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 31

Thieves who stole a £l5OO sports car from Newmarket, Auckland, last night tried to run it over a 100 ft cliff at Musick Point But as it rolled toward the cliff-edge, the car veered over a bump and smashed head-on into the side of a gully. The front suspension, fenders, radiator and fibre-glass body were badly damaged. Repairs may cost several hundred pounds.
