PRESBYTERIANS IN N.Z.
Society To Study History
A meeting will be convened next week to found a Presbyterian historical society, the Very Rev. Dr. J. D. Salmond told the Presbyterian General Assembly last evening. The assembly gave its blessing to the formation of such a society. The society, according to a report presented to the assembly, will be composed of persons interested in research into the early history of the denomination in New Zealand and in promoting writing on the subject. It will also “have a watching brief” on historical occasions and would co-operate with the National Historic Places Trust.
