CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Presbyterian Lecturer
A New Zealand minister at present studying for the degree of doctor of education in religious education at Columbia University, was appointed lecturer in Christian education and Christian education specialist by the Presbyterian General Assembly yesterday. He is the Rev. G. H. Robinson, of Auckland.
Ordained in 1958, Mr Robinson worked on the field staff of the Presbyterian Christian Education Committee of the General Assembly from December, 1958, to June, 1960, when he resigned to go to the United States for furthe study and experience. Mr Robinson is married and has five children. While in the United Etates Mr Robinson served as an associate minister of the Reformed Church, in which he took part in educational work, worked with Alcoholics Anonymous, and served as a member of the local race relations council. During the 1963-64 academic year Mr Robinson will be a tutor assistant in the religious education department at the Union Theological Seminary in New York. He expects to complete his doctorate by October of next year, and to take up his new appointment shortly afterwards.
