Narrow Win At Gore (N.Z. Press Association) GORE, October 28. Royal News, which was fourth in the main event on Saturday. when a warm facourite, narrowly won the President’s Handicap, principal event on the second day of the Gore Racing Club’s spring meeting today. Royal News beat the topweight and favourite, Kumai, by a head after a desperate struggle. The meeting was held In fine weather. The track was in good order. There was a large attendance.
