In that event he suggests that associations might still hold an elimination later this year or early next year. One association, he says, asked the Local Country Girls’ Chib to help and is holding an evening early next year to find a contestant flor the final in Ashburton. Entrants in the competition, who will come from country areas, may wear woollen garments of any type and they may be made by the contestants or purchased Competitors will be judged on stage appearance, dress, deportment and knowledge of wook It has been suggested to associations that there should be three judges, but it is open to associations to make theu- own appointments. The judges for the final will be drawn from the Retailers’ Association. National Airways Corporation and the Wool Bard. The prize for the winner of the final will be three return seats to anywhere in New Zealand given by National Airways Corporation. £25 given by the Wool. Board to be spent on woollen garments and a champion cash given by the Wool Board. Tl >e second prize will be :
