Rider’s Busy Week-End
“The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, October 22.
The Wingatai jockey, J. D. Piankhunst, will have a busy week-end travelling. He will leave for Christchurch by air on Friday morning and -will ride ait the North Canterbury Racing Club’s meeting at Rangiora, where his mounts will include Nimbus Cloud. He will continue the journey by air to Wellington for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting on Saturday, when his engagements include Rondabelle and Alarmist. He will return home on Sunday and ride at Gore on Monday, when his mounts will include Rifleman, Never Late and Belle el Nil. B. J. Anderton is another Wingatui jockey who will ride at Rangiora. His engagements include: Personify, Beach Gold. Compagnae and Approval. He will return home the same night and tide at Gore on Saturday.
