BUSY DAY AT RANGIORA

N. Eastwood's Programme N. Eastwood returned to Riccarton from Wellington yesterday with St. Maio and wail ride at Rangiora on Friday before returning north for the second day of the Wellington meeting. At Rangiora he will ride Happy Venture. Yankmville. Broker, Etoile Este. Valuate. and Bodkin. His Trentham mounts this week include The Nob and My Desire. A. J. Stokes will not ride at Rangiora. He will go north this evening, and will ride Zinder. Hushawiay, Manana, and Corbassiere at Trentham on Saturday. Royal Mile. a double acceptor at Rangiora. will probably run in the shorter Inglewood Hack Handicap. She is an acceptor for the Springbank Handicap, but W. D. Skelton has been engaged to ride her in the Inglewood Handicap. Skelton will ride Caplin in the Springbank Handicap. M. J. Skelton will ride Brokette, Paua, TroJd, and Studio at Rangjona and then will go to Trantham to ride Magician in the Awatea Handicap on Saturday.

Pilot Killed.—A pilot, Jeremy Piers Talbot-Wilson, aged 20. died last night after his Cessna aircraft crashed into the fog-covered summit of Mount Bullengarook, about 40 miles from Melbourne.— Melbourne, October 22.
