Name Of Beer Changed

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLTNOTON, October 22. The name “Steinecker” would appear no more on the labels of a New Zealand Breweries, Ltd, product—it would be changed to “Steinhager,” the managing-director (Mr B. T. O’Connell) announced today. The change is the result of the Court of Appeal decision that “Steinecker” cannot be used as a trade mark name by New Zealand Breweries because of its similaritly to that registered by a Dutch brewing firm.
