E.E.C. Cuts Chicken Import Duty
(N.ZPA.-Reuter—Copyright) BRUSSELS, October 22. The Common Market yesterday reduced import duties on frozen chickens by nine pfennigs a kilo which “automatically followed a rise in world prices."
American sources said that the decision would not affect arbitration on the United Stales-E E C “chicken war” which will be submitted to GATT Agriculture Ministers of the six Common Market countries will today discuss German proposals to give the market’s farm policy a new “outward
looking” character The proposals include more liberal '■egulations for beef, dairy products and rice imports from non-member countries - They also include a revision of already existing regulations for eggs, poultry and pigmeat. i Belgium does not agree.
