DICKENSIAN DOLLS.—Broadstairs, in Kent, is celebrated for its connexions with Charles Dickens, and one of the residents, Edith Russell, is an expert at creating models of some of the best-loved Dickens characters. She is shown with two of the models which are in great demand. “I turn out Mr Pickwick models by the score, and orders arrive from Paris, Ottawa, Washington, and most European countries,” she says.
