Press Assn?—Copgrlgnt) BIRMINGHAM (Alabama). _ « Oct - 15i j e « ro integration leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jun., was served with a complaint and summons today m a 1,000,000-doUar suit filed by a white woman who claimed she was humiliated and injured during a racial demonstration. United Press International reported. The suit had been outstanding against Dr. King since June 19, but the process server did not catch up with him until today. He was served at a Birmingham motel after a meeting of integration leaders, who met to discuss ways of backing up their latest demand—that the city hire 25 Negro policemen within a week Birmingham’s Fraternal Order of Police presented a petititm to the city council today opposing the addition of Negroes on the grounds it would destroy the morale of the force.

In addition to Dr. King, the suit names most of the major integrationist organisations. The woman claimed she fell while trying to make her way through a racial demonstration last June. Her suit claims she suffered “mental anguish, humiliation and bodily injuries” from the incident
