(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 16. .General practice in medicu* was just as much a spectali-ty as other more publicised fields, said the executive director of the Canadian College of Genera! Practice, Dr W. V. Johnston, w Auckland today. He arrived with h» wife flor a brief visit before attending the second convention of the Australian General Practitioners' College in Sydney. The Canadian college was formed 10 years ago and today had about 2400 members out of about 10.500 general practitioners in Canada, he said. Membership was restricted to those doctors who were prepared to undertake regular post-graduate study to keep up to date in the latest medical techniques. “Anyone who doesn't complete at least 100 hours of authorised study every two years is dropped from memberttiip,” Dr. Johnston said. "I suppose we drop about 75 members a year because they don’t keep up their studies "
