BEER NAME APPEAL

Court Reserves Decision (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Sept. 12. The Court of Appeal' today reserved its decision in an appeal by New » Zealand Breweries on the use of the word of “Steinecker..” The appeal was against a decision of the Supreme Court which found in favour of a Dutch brewery companyon a complaint that the label used was similar to that of one of its products, Heineken lager. The Court comprised Mr Justice North, Mr Justice Turner and Mr Justice Haslam.

Mr R. G. Collins, with him Mr C. I. Patterson appeared for New Zealand Breweries and Mr E. D. Blundell, with him Mr L. M. Greig, for Heinekens Brewery.
