Promotion Of Wool
(Special Crspdt. N.ZJ’.A.) LONDON, Sept. 11. The wool textile industry 1' worried about the "faddy duddy” image of its fabric, •ays the "Yorkshire Post.” Young people, according to wool experts, look on wool as something which went out with red flannel nighties To dispel this idea the Wool Textile Federation and the International Wool Secretariat have decided to launch the first national home market advertising campaign, supported by 600 manufacturers. The campaign has been promoted for two main reasons. First, young people regard wool as an old-fashioned fabric meant only for keeping people warm; and second because of the amount of money being spent on manmade fibre advertising.
