Sept 11 A working holiday with a difference will begin for Mr D- J- Gilberd, a contractor and member of the Whangarei Harbour Board, when he sails on Saturday in his 46ft yawl, Naomi N. He is going to Niue Island to investigate and report on the possibility of using windmills for pumping water for domestic use. Mr Gilberd's daughter. Faith, will be navigator. The rest of the crew is composed of Whangarei and Auckland yachtsmen. The cruise Is expected to take about two months, and Mr Gilberd hopes to visit Samoa and Fiji. A further object of the trip is to provide Mr Bilberd with ocean experience before the Onerahi Yacht Club’s 1000-mile race to Noumea next year.
