Censured, Fined By Medical Council Disciplinary action against Dr. James Lanyon Poor, of Shannon, by the Medical Council is reported in the “New Zealand Medical Journal.’’ It says:— “On June 14, 1963, the Medical Council after an inquiry, on the application of the Solicitor-General, found Dr. James Lanyon Poor guilty of grave impropriety in a professional respect by reason of the circumstances of an association with a female patient “The following penalties were imposed: (I) That he be censured. (2) That he be fined the sum of £lOO. (3) That he pay all costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry of the council and of the preliminary investigation made by the Crown Solicitor or investigation committee”
