HS THE CENTRAL CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD NO. 10 REDEMPTION LOAN. 1963, PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Central Canterbury' Electric Power Board held on the 10th day of September. 1963, the following resolution was passed as an ordinary resolution:— 1. For the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the No. 10 Reticulation Loan. 1953, raised by the SpringsEllesmere Electric Power Board which matures on the first day of November, 1963.; the Board resolves to borrow in New Zealand, the sum of Thirteen Thousand Pounds (£13,000) such Loan to be known as “No. 10 Redemption Loan, 1963.” 2. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be five years repayable on the Ist day of November. 1968. or ten years repayable on the Ist day of November. 1973, provided that the amount repayable on the Ist day of November. 1968, shall be unlimited where the loan is offered to existing holders in the No. 10 i Reticulation Loan, 1953, but 1 where it is offered to the] public the amount repayable: on the Ist day of November, 1968, shall be limited to thirty per cent, of the issue to the public. 3. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said Loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and oneeighth per centum per annum for principal repayable on the Ist day of November, 1968, and five and threeeighths per centum per annum for principal repayable on the Ist day of November, 1973. 4. The Board, shall before raising the said Loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a Sinking I Fund and shal Imake annual payments to such Sinking Fund at a rate of not less than eight pounds four shillings and eightpence per cent, per annum of the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. 5. The payment of interest and repayment of principal .in respect of the said Loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount payable as either interest or Sinking Fund in respect of the said Loan shall be paid out of loan money. 8. The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed onehalf per cent, of any amount raised. 7. Payment of interest repayment of principal and other charges in respect of the loan shall be secured by a special rate annually recurring of one-twentieth (l/20th) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board District. 8. The said Loan shall be raised by the issue of registered Stock in accordance with “The Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956.” DATED at Hornby tills 10th day of September, 1963. R. J.
