Admission. 3d.8454 WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL HAREWOOD RIDING WORKS LOAN, 1963 It is hereby Publicly Notified that the Waunalri County Council, at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers. Fendalton, on Thursday, August 15, 1963, passed the following resolution:—

1. That in pursuance and exercise . of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act. 1956, the “Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” and all amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on the Bth August, 1963, the Council proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £17,000 for the purpose of constructing kerbing and channelling and footpaths and reconstructing and sealing roads in the Ha re wood Riding. 2. That such loan be known as the Harewood Riding Works Loan, 1963—£17,000 (hereinafter referred to as the “said loan"). 3. That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed 10 years. 4. That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding five and threeeighths (£5 7s 6d) per cent per annum. 5. That the said loan shall be repaid by annual redemption of debentures or Stock. 6. That the payment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal shall be paid out of loan monies. 7. That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised. 8. That no monies shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date of the Order in Council consenting to the raising of the loan. 9. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special Rate of ,114668 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the Harewood Riding. 10. That the' form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be by means of debentures of £lOO, £5OO and £lOOO denomination, and interest coupons in conformity with the “Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956." or by Registered Stock. Pursuant to the “Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956," it is hereby further Publicly Notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Waimairi County Council to be held in the Council Chambers. Fendalton. at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday. September 19, 1963, for confirmation as a Special Order It is hereby further Publicly Notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 5 per cent of the ratepayers in the Harewood Riding of the County so demand by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the ' resolution hereinbefore mentioned. , K.
