CANTERBURY CHANGES
The Western inside-right, T. Haydon, with a recurrence of an eariy-season groin injury, has withdrawn from the Canterbury team to play Otago on Saturday, and from the Technical Invitation XI to meet North Shore the next day. Haydon’s place against Otago in the return Jones Cup fixture at Dunedin will be taken by the Shamrock inside-forward, J. Price. Against North Shore. B. Chee (Technical) will move up to inside-right from right-half, and I. Drewitt (Technical) will complete the half-back line. D. Salisbury (Shamrock) has dropped out of the B team to play at Invercargill, and will be replaced by J. I-e Poidevin (City). Price's place in the C team to meet the West Coast at English Park has been taken by B. Smith (Western), and Drewitt will play at right-half. Seven Goals (N.Z. Press Association) * GISBORNE, August 25. Poverty Bay beat Hawke’s Bay, 7-0, in the East Coast Rosebowl representative soccer match as Gisborne on Saturday. A. Sefton scored four goals. K. Williams two, and R. Mulrooney one.
