10 Schools In A.T.C. Team
Ten South Island school first fifteens are represented in the southern area Air Training Corps Rugby team to play in a tournament against the northern and central areas at Ohakea this week. The team, which will leave Christchurch today, is:— J. Smith (West H.S.); J Pringle (Waimate HS.). K. Scilling (Taieri H.S.), R. Tweedie (Christchurch B H.S.): J. Stead. J. Seddon (West P Hair (Shirley 8.H.5.): J. Wilson (King’s HS.); I. Harris (Riccarton H.S ). R. Smith (Greymotrth HS). B. Wilson (Southland BBS.). D. Donaldson (Riccarton H.S.); A. Matheson (St Bede's), G. Gass (Shirley 8.H.5.); H. R. Larsen (West H.S.). Emergencies. Backs: G Leathwick, W. Stirling (West H.S.). Forwards: F. J. Keown (Waimate H.S.), G. Wood (Riccarton H.S.).
Canterbury Colts Convincing
(NJ! Press Association) TIMARU. August 25. The Canterbury Colts stormed through a weak and ineffectual defence at Fraser Park. Timaru. on Saturday to beat South Canterbury Colts. 25-6. Canterbury's points came from five tries, two of which were converted, and two penalties. South Canterbury scared a try and a penalty.
