Six self-contained flats at 856-858 Colombo street were sold tor £B6OO at public auction yesterday. The property was offered on account of Mr R. L. Calvert. The auctioneer was Mr G. H. Kissell. The initial bid was £7500. There were two bids of £250. and 12 bids of £5O. The flats were advertised as showing a return of more than £l2OO a year. Outbuildings on the section of 40 perches include a garage, laundry and shed. The rates are £7B 15s 7d. More than 40 persons attended the sale. Offered on account of the estate of H. E. Crust, a house at 27A Jacksons road, Fendalton, was sold tor £5450. The auctioneer was Mr J. Dyer. The opening bid was £4500. There were three bids of £250, and two of £lOO. Built of brick on a section of 35.8 perches, the house has three bedrooms. lounge, dining room, kitchenette, bathroom, and garage under the one roof. Curtains and body carpets were offered with the house. The rates are £4B 19s 6d. A two-year-old brickveneer bungalow with a tiled root at 48 Vernon crescent, Shirley, was sold tor £3300. The auctioneer was Mr R. R. Livingstone. The house has three bedrooms, Living room and kitchen. It was a mortgagee's sale. A house at 26 Andrews square has been sold by private treaty by Hutchinson, White. Ltd. The property was passed in at £5900 when offered at auction on Tuesday.
