“NOT FROM SERVICE”
File Given Committee (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. Aug. 21. The Petidions Committee had not obtained a file from the Security Service on a Wellington public servant. Mr G. F. Mills, said the chairman of the committee, Mr J. H. George (Govt., Otago Central) in Parliament today. During a debate last Wednesday on a petition by Mr Mills seeking the right of free access for all New Zealanders to the Cook Islands. Mr George said a Security Service file was received by the committee. Mr George said today he was under the impression the file was from the Service. However, it had been obtained from the Department of Island Territories,
