TRAVELLERS’ JUBILEE
350 To Attend Celebrations Three hundred and fifty members of the Canterbury Commercial Travellers’ Association are expected to celebrate on Friday and Saturday the fiftieth anniversary of the association. Yesterday an informal meeting was held for pastpresidents and committee members and eight foundation members. The celebrations will begin formally on Friday evening with a smoke concert in St. Patrick’s Hall. The guest speaker will be Sir Leslie Munro. The Government is expected to be represented by the Minister on Transport (Mr McAlpine). On Saturday evening a jubilee dinner and ball will be held at the Winter Gardens.
