Extradited To Venezuela

(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) MIAMI (Florida), Aug. 18. Marcos Perez Jimenez, the former dictator of Venezuela, was extradited from the United States yesterday to face charges of embezzlement. He was put aboard a Venezuelan aircraft in Miami after two last-minute appeals to the United States Supreme Court and a Florida State Court had failed. A further attempt to appeal to the Florida Supreme Court failed because the Court is in summer recess.

Johannesburg will spend about £75,000 in its next financial year on grants-in-aid for coloured, Indians, and African welfare organisations.
