JAPANESE PREMIER

Visit To N.Z. Possible (N.Z.P.A-Reuter —Copyright) TOKYO, August 17. The Japanese Prime Minister, Mr Hayeato Ikeda, wanted to visit Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines before an extraordinary Diet (Parliament) session began this autumn, an official said today. The Diet is expected to be convened at the end of September or at the beginning of October. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today that he would welcome a visit by the Japanese Prime Minister (Mr Hayato Ikeda) and the opportunities it would provide for discussions on the political and trade questions in which the two countries were interested.
