The 400 workmen to be housed in the Wanganella are not likely to become seasick as she lies in Doubtful Sound, according to the first labourer to be hired tor the Manapouri power contract. Mr Jim Sheard, an Australian ‘‘Occasionally there are small waves where the Wanganella will be. even though it is 20 miles in from the coast,” he said. But at the worst it was only “a bit of a slop,” On most days, there was hardly a ripple on foe surface.
