JAPANESE GARDEN PROJECT

City Officer Going To Hawaii Mr D. Field, the City Council’s assistant landscape architect, will attend a Japanese garden project at the Univeirsity of Hawaii and in Jaipan. The project has been arranged by the Centre tor Cultural and Technical Interchange between East and West. Mr Field will spend four weeks in Hawaii where there will be training in the construction of a Japanese garden, and wiM then go to Japan for another four weeks training in the techniques of maintenance. The centre has made a grant covering air travel and accommodation to Mr Field.
