Annual Event At Winter Garden The St. Bede’s Co’leee Old Boys’ A®»ooi&t’on held its ennuel b?ll at the Winter Garden on Sctir-day evening. when about 500 members and friends attended. They were received by Mr G. McEvedy. president of the associeitioei, and Mrs McEvedy. Mirs McEvedy wore a formal gown of sapphire blue nylon, the bodice and front skirt panel of which were embroidered in red end ■white beading. Specially-invited guests included the rector of the col-, lese (the Rev. Fcifher L. Evaitt). the vice-eecitor (the Rev Father B. O'Brien\ and Staff members; representatives of the Mferist Rurby Fccitbe' 1 ! Club. St. Bede’s College Farm’s ’ Association; and the follow 1 ng old pupils’ p'ssoc'r'trons: Chris’s C"ll«?e. St. Andrew's Co’lege. Christchurch Boys’ H'gh Sch'ol. Chu’afchurch West High School. Xavier Colßge. St Kevin’s College, St. Patrick’s College. Auckland Grammer School. Tima'VU High School. St. Mary's Convent, Sacred College Girls’ College, Villa Maria, and St. Margaret’s College. College flags, a large school crest and floral arrangements made up the decorative theme in the ballroom, the foyer and in the supper room. The organising committee was headed by the president of the association (Mr G. McEvedy): the secretary (Mr J. B. Prendergast), and the convener of the social committee (Mir R. J. Mercer).
