CURRENT NOTE
Women's Club.— Miss Mary McLean spoke about the Freedom from Hunger Campaign, the United Nations, and racial issues in the United States, at a special morning tea held recently by the garden circle of the Canterbury Women’s Club. Mrs C. G. Manhire, circle leader, presided. Vocal solos were given by Mrs I. H. Sherris. The meeting was one of a series being held to augment funds for the club’s golden jubilee year.
